& Coventry Performing Arts Service in major schools composition project in Coventry: workshops in six
schools (Secondary, Primary and Special) culminating in combined concert with ODAC and 180 children at
Bedworth Civic Hall (Jan-Mar)
1999 Tune-In/Wigmore Hall: song composition & performance project
with A-level students, culminating in recital of 20 new songs at Wigmore Hall (Mar-May)

1998 English Touring Opera: Fidelio: composer and
musical director on A level and GCSE creative music-theatre project at Cooper's School, Chislehurst,
with director Martin Lloyd-Evans, singers and instrumentalists, devising and performing a new work (Sept-Nov)
1998 English Concert/Wigmore Hall: Baroque Builder: composition and performance project with Westminster
Primary schools and players from The English Concert , creating new works based on Baroque structures,
etc (Nov)
1998 Prestatyn Festival of Youth Arts: composer/animateur on music-theatre project
based at Prestatyn High School with GCSE students, creating the work "Flight" (July 1998)

Warwick Road Junior School, Batley: led creative music workshops (Years 2-6), developing voice work
and composition, leading to performances of created work: aimed at devising Music Curriculum for use
in Muslim school communities (with Kirklees Music Service) (May-Jul)
1997-8 Travelling Through
The Paradise Fields: composer and musical director on mega multi-media music-theatre work, with writer
Michael Mayhew, for the Batley Experience: 200 Batley residents in 90-minute work for soloists, choir,
children's chorus, orchestra, industrial scrap band, rock band & ensemble of "whistles", electronic
soundtrack + video projections (Sept 1997-May 1998)

and art project on the planets, based on Graham Coatman's symphonic variations of same name, with Orchestra
da Camera in Primary, Secondary and Special schools, culminating in a concert with ODAC and 180 children

"Music in the Meadows": Wrexham Country Parks; composer-in-residence creating music-theatre works,
in five schools, working with Park Rangers and creating made instruments, leading to major performance
of new work with 150 children (Sept-Oct 1997)

St John's Smith Square; summer project "Make Time for Play"; director/composer with 9 playschemes &
Playday performance (Jul-Aug 1997)
1997 York Early Music Festival; director/composer on Through
the Arches project, storytelling and creating music-theatre around architecture with York Primary Schools,
performance at Bishopthorpe Palace (Apr-Jul 1997)
1994-6 Sinfonia 21; composer/education director;
led, devised, admin & fundraising for all projects/performances, including; Eugene Onegin at SBC/QEH;
Music & Science project; Great Music in Motion Commotion (3-year London Underground Jubilee Line Extension
series of creative music-theatre projects); Baltic Voices Secondary schools voice project at SBC; Lichfield
Festival (The Swimmer art, drama & music with installation) & Michelham Priory (Miller of Michelham
children's opera) Festivals; Hidden Voice (Jonathan Harvey/Westminster) & In-Communicado (Richard Rodney
Bennett/Crawley); projects on London premieres of own works Thus The Whirligig Of Time, Rude Encounter,
(Southwark Festival) & Island Games (Greenwich & Docklands Festival); etc, etc;
